2011
Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful 2010! For me it was a crazy one, luckily mostly crazy in good ways.
What were my goals for 2010?
Well the first was to relaunch my blog and portfolio website, it’s been a year and I still have nothing online, I can stick a big digital FAIL label on this one.
Secondly I was looking to get WiredBristol up and running, which almost happened but for now I’ve decided to put it in hold, but I’m sure it will bounce back into development at some point in the future.
My other goal was to get away from retail, I wanted to find a web-design job, although it looked unlikely that I would find a new job before the years end, right at the last minute something brilliant popped up and at the beginning of December I left all the wonderful folk at Apple and started work as a web-designer for a awesome web development company, Simpleweb.
What do I want to do in 2011?
I have a ton of things I’d love to do in 2011, these are just a couple of them…
Firstly I *will* launch a new version of the portfolio and journal that I failed to in 2010, I’m already half way through the design process so hopefully this will be something I can complete quite soon in the new year.
Secondly I’d like to have completed at least one of the (many) major projects I’ve been planning, I’ve got a lot of awesome ideas, let’s just hope I find the time to work on them. If I’m lucky I may also be able to get two of them complete!
For the end of the year I’m going to try my best to visit family over in Seattle. I’ve only ever been once before at Christmas which was absolutely amazing, so I’d love to return for Christmas 2011.
Finally the smallest, but most challenging goal is to try and save some money, something I’m not particularly good at, hopefully I can turn this around in 2011.
Thanks to all my friends, family and everyone I’ve worked with for a great year, I hope you all have an amazing 2011 and once again HAPPY NEW YEAR!
